IUPUI Preparing
Future Faculty and Professionals Program announces its Fall Conference, My
Choice Career, November 1-2, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. This
two-day conference offers graduate students, postdoctoral students, faculty, industry and
community partners an opportunity to learn and interact with peers and
colleagues an increased awareness of and preparation for various career options following completion of an advanced degree. Topics of panel discussions include The Versatile Degree: Graduate Degrees and
Careers in Today’s Economy, The Power of Transferrable Skills and Passion,
Transitioning from a professional to faculty or faculty to non-academic
positions, Teaching at IUPUI, and the Business of Life Sciences. Small
group and interactive workshops allow participants to craft assessment
strategies, prepare for a Postdoctoral position or hone an in-progress
proposals. A keynote brunch featuring Dr. J. Michael Durnil, President
and CEO of the Simon Youth Foundation, will offer advice and commentary on

Parking & Shuttle: FREE shuttle transportation is available from the IUPUI campus to the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. Shuttle will circle every 30 minutes from 8am-6pm. Additional self-pay parking is available in the following at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis and surrounding parking garages.
